My name is Cheryl Butler.
I am the 2nd grade teacher at Divine Providence School. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Illinois.
One of the goals I have in teaching is to provide an environment in which every student feels comfortable to learn in the way that is the best for them.
I want my students to feel successful. I want to share my excitement for teaching and learning with my class.
In my spare time, I like to read, do crafts, and watch my children play sports.
Growing up I attended a Catholic elementary school and a Catholic high school.
I chose to teach in a Catholic school because I like the sense of community, family and faith that is a part of the Catholic educational experience.
